
About Us
Proform Sport Science is based in Wigan, UK and owned and run by Dr Howard Hurst. Howard has worked as a university Senior Lecturer in Sport, Exercise & Nutritional Sciences for over 20 and run Proform Sport Science alongside this role before focusing on consultancy work full time. During the past 20 years he has helped athletes globally from amateur to professional to optimise their nutrition to support health and performance.
Howard has also published over 70 journal papers and book chapters on nutrition and sports science (you can view these at https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Howard_Hurst and has over 25 years of racing experience in Downhill Mountain Biking, running and triathlon up to ultra distance events. This has given him a wealth of personal and practical experience to support his evidence-based practice.
